Vista SP1 broke Mobile Device Center syncronization

Description: After installing Vista's service pack 1 I no longer was able to connect or sync my windows mobile phone device with windows mobile device center. I would receive a message on my mobile device stating that I needed active sync 4.5 or higher.

Cause: It turns out that bitdefender firewall was somwhow preventing the the device from connecting.

Resolution:
1) Right click on the BitDefender icon in the system tray in the lower right of your screen ,then click 'Advanced Settings';

2) Click on 'Firewall' then go to 'Traffic' , then click the 'Resset profile' button;

3) On the new window select 'Trusted' then uncheck 'Auto-detect';

4) Close all the BitDefender windows , and when prompted if you want to grant internet access to different software , click 'Allow'.
