Solution: Remove the check box to "leave a copy of messages on the server" the next time you download your email it should download all your messages on the server. After you do this you can go back and check the box to "leave a copy of messages on the server" this should resolve the problem and restore the your email to normal.
Cause: This is a result of a problem with the timestap on the file that keeps track of the downloaded email on the server.
